Big Tech vs. The Open Source Revolution
Governments and corporations are well aware that FOSS and OSS is a major threat to their power and they're doing everything they can to put a stop to The Open Source Revolution. Passing new laws, buying out projects and sending cease and desist letters are among their tactics to try and stop the inevitable return of of internet freedom and the blossoming of a new era.
Governments want to be able to track our every move to police behaviour while corporations want to have the monopoly so that nothing can be done except through them. They often cooperate with governments to aid their surveillance and To negate the influence of big tech we have to learn how to make forks of and self host OSS and in some cases host for others.
In short we are in a battle not only for the very future of the internet but our own freedom outside of the internet too. If we want to have freedom we'll have to become tech literate.
