Open Source Revolution vs Financial Tyranny

Governments today use Financial Tyranny as a weapon against dissidents and their planned technology infrastructure such as Central Bank Digital Currency and AI Algorithms would give them unprecedented power to impose greater tyranny upon their population.

Artificial Intelligence Algorithms

The use of AI for financial tyranny has already taken place with the French government using an AI algorithm to scan through satellite/aerial images of houses in the country to find "unlicensed" outdoor pools and then demand money for the private pools of which government had no part in building or maintaining.

Central Bank Digital Currencies

Central Bank Digital Currency is being tested right now in Nigeria to see how well it can work in other countries. A CBDC can be used to control almost every aspect of life. Combine it with Universal Basic Income, where you are given whatever the state thinks you need and no more, and the planned "15 minute cities" and you have a recipe for a dystopia.

Think about this: They could very easily limit how much you can spend in a day, limit how much you can earn and stop you from spending in certain locations if the government deemed it necessary. Or just stop you from spending altogether if you dissent in any way.

Financial Tyranny in Recent Years

The most brazen example of financial tyranny has to be the Canadian government locking the accounts of protestors supporting or taking part in the Canadian Trucker Convoys back in 2021. This so-called democratic nation of the "free world" made it very clear that they have no problem with cutting off your means of living if you go against them.

The power that this technology grants to corrupt governments may be frightening but we mustn't be afraid. We must instead find solutions to fight back and make sure we have disposable income going into the future.

Resisting Financial Tyranny

Open Source Software is the key to resisting government/corporate backed financial tyranny. Take for example a small business who's owner may have opinions that go against the state or their payment processor. Their payment processor company cancels their services to the business in an attempt to silence them or outright destroy their business. With the right open source software this company would be able to continue processing payments independent of that payment processor. This takes away the power from the oppressive corporation and puts it in the hands of the small business owners.

Another example would be an internet user who wants to make artwork for their digital art but doesn't want to sign up to a paid service that could easily be collecting their data with the software that must be installed. An open source alternative that is just as good if not better than the paid option gives freedom to that individual. It gives him more disposable income and it protects his privacy.

The Open Source Revolution is as much about individual empowerment as it is about preventing global corporations, governments and think-tank technocrats from dictating our future.

We are at a crossroads: We organise and choose a future where technology and the internet is in the hands of the people or the future will be chosen for us by a global oligopoly seeking profit and total information control.

I say we create our own path! 🏴‍☠️
